Red snapper is not Korameenu in telugu. It is called Bullseye snakehead fish and it is not available in US. I got red snapper the other day and it's nasty (especially expecting korameenu taste).

Hi Maggie, Sorry for the late reply. Trout fist in tamil means Nanneer meen, which lives in fresh water lake or river. If you got to know the other language names, kindly let me know. By the way since I am in Singapore, I am not sure where to find this fish in Chennai. You can check in any big fish supermarkets. Hope this helps you. Thanks.
