<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make Vangi Bhaat Powder </h2>

<p>This <strong>vangi bhaat powder</strong> is a special powder, which is prepared especially for the karnataka special vangi bhaat recipe. This makes the vangi bhaat more flavorful. </p>

<p>Here the powder is made with karnataka Style. There is also a different version of this powder which is in Maharastrian style. That we will see in coming post.</p>

<p>This powder not only used for the brinjal rice. It can also be used for capsicum rice or ivy gourd rice. It makes the dish more tastier and flavorful.</p>

<p>I have many basic powder recipes like below</p>

<p>To this also include the coriander seeds and fry for few min.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-04-1024x1024.jpg" alt="Vangi bath Powder" class="wp-image-4106" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-04.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-04-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-04-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-04-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-04-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Now add the kashmiri chilli and guntur chilli. Kashmiri chilli is added for the colour and guntur chilli is added for the spiciness.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-05-1024x1024.jpg" alt="Vangi bath Powder" class="wp-image-4105" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-05.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-05-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-05-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-05-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-05-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Include just 2 to 3 pinch of the cumin and fenugreeks seeds. This step is purely optional, but the methi and the cumin gives a nice aromo to the vangi bhaat masala powder.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-06-1024x1024.jpg" alt="Vangi bath Powder" class="wp-image-4115" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-06.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-06-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-06-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-06-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-06-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Add the dried coconut flakes now and fry them again. If you do not have the dried coconut, add the grated coconut and fry them nicely before adding to the masala. You can also add the dessicated coconut.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-07-1024x1024.jpg" alt="Vangi bath Powder" class="wp-image-4116" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-07.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-07-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-07-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-07-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Vangi-bath-Powder-07-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h6>Notes</h6>
<p>1. No need to remove the skin of the garlic cloves as the skin has good antioxidant property and is good for human health.</p>
<p>2. Here again I have used small variety of garlic which gives a nice taste and flavor to this podi. If you can&#8217;t able to find the small variety of Garlic, you can use the normal one also.</p>
<p>3. If You feel, the red chillies are more you can readily reduce the amount of red chillies as well as the peppercorns.</p>

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;"></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;"><b>Notes</b><br /><b><br /></b></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;">1. Always Use a clean and dry teaspoon.</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;">2. The above measurements yields Sambar powder which can be kept for 2 to 3 weeks based on the frequency of usage.&nbsp;</div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;">3. <span style="font-family: inherit;">My&nbsp;dry chillies are very spicy. Kindly adjust to your chillies&nbsp;</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;">4. My MIL gave a tip, to add some curry leaves also while frying as some kids (even me) throw curry leaves from sambar when added separately. But this is purely optional.</p>
