<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Is the Vegetable Godhumai Adai Vegan ?</h3>

<p>Yes. I have made this Adai has a vegan recipe, since I have used only the water to dilute the Adai batter. As I have added only the water here, the Adai would not give a tangy taste. so you can add a 1 or 2 tsp of lemon juice if you want. If you are not vegan, you can prepare this Adai with buttermilk or yoghurt or even with milk.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Step by step instructions to prepare the Vegetable Godhumai adai</h4>

<p>Now lets see the step by step pictures to make this easy and healthy recipe</p>

<h5 class="wp-block-heading">Preparing the batter for adai</h5>

<p>In order to make this vegetable godhumai adai, in a big bowl add the grated carrot and grated cabbage.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447-1024x1024.jpg" alt="VideoCapture" class="wp-image-5511" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223447-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>To This add finely grated potato, finely chopped green chilli, and finely chopped tomatoes.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454-1024x1024.jpg" alt="VideoCapture" class="wp-image-5510" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223454-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Also.add the cumin seeds, chilli powder and the turmeric.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512-1024x1024.jpg" alt="VideoCapture" class="wp-image-5509" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223512-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Now add the required amount of salt and chopped curry leaves and coriander leaves.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519-1024x1024.jpg" alt="VideoCapture" class="wp-image-5508" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223519-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Here I have not added the coriander leaves, since I dint have that at home while preparing the Adai. Now add the whole.wheat flour to this. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528-1024x1024.jpg" alt="VideoCapture" class="wp-image-5507" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223528-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Now slowly add the water and start mixing it. I have added about 2 and 1/2 cups of water (around 400ml) to make the desired consistency.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545-1024x1024.jpg" alt="VideoCapture" class="wp-image-5506" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/VideoCapture_20200519-223545-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Instead of adding the water all at a time you can add it one cup at a time and start mixing the flour without any lumps.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make Instant wheat Dosa</h2>

<p>This <strong>Instant Wheat Dosa</strong> is a quick dosa recipe and can be finished in just 10 minutes, and tastes great with just simple chutney like peanut chutney or tomato chutney.</p>

<p>At times, we feel bored to make the dinner after a long tired day and in those time, when you need to feed your family with some healthy dish, then you can very well go for this Instant wheat dosa recipe.</p>

<p>The <strong>Instant wheat dosa</strong>, is quick, tasty, crispy and the most is, it is healthier too. In order to get the crispiness to the wheat dosa, little amount of rice flour is used. Adding the rice flour really changes the texture of the dosa to a thin and crispy form. </p>

<p>When you do not want to add the rice flour, you can very well skip it and make a thick dosa. If you want to make this as wheat rava dosa, you can add a 1/2 cup of semolina / rava and make this dosa to wheat rava dosa, which also tastes great.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-full"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="640" height="640" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Instant-wheat-dosa2.jpg" alt="Instant wheat dosa" class="wp-image-5275" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Instant-wheat-dosa2.jpg 640w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Instant-wheat-dosa2-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Instant-wheat-dosa2-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Instant-wheat-dosa2-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px" /></figure></div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">What side dish / chutney I recommend for this dosa</h3>

<p>This Instant wheat dosa can be taken with just normal home made sambar and chutney. But I recommend the below chutneys </p>

<ul class="wp-block-list"><li><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/hotel-style-kaara-chutney-chutney-recipes/" target="_blank">hotel style kaara chutney</a></li><li><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/spicy-onion-chutney-kara-vengaya-chutney/" target="_blank">spicy onion chutney</a></li><li><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/onion-tomato-chutney/" target="_blank">Onion tomato chutney</a></li><li><a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/groundnut-chutney-chutney-recipes-how-to-make-groundnut-chutney/" target="_blank">peanut chutney</a></li></ul>

<p>You can also check the <a href="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/chutney-recipes-idli-dosa/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">full list of my chutney recipes</a>.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Is the Dosa Vegan ?</h3>

<p>Yes. I have made this dosa as a vegan, since I have used only the water to dilute the dosa batter. As I have added only the water here, the dosa would not give a tangy taste. so you can add a 1 or 2 tsp of lemon juice if you want. If you are not vegan, you can prepare this dosa with buttermilk or yoghurt or even with milk.</p>

<p></p>

<p></p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Step by step instruction for making the Instant Wheat Dosa Recipe</h4>

<p>Lets see the step by step procedure to make the recipe with pictures.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Preparing the batter</h4>

<p>To prepare this wheat flour dosa, in a big bowl, add the wheat flour and the rice flour. if you want a thick dosa, and less crispier dosa you can reduce the amount of rice flour. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118-1024x1024.jpg" alt="VideoCapture" class="wp-image-5226" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118-1536x1536.jpg 1536w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118-2048x2048.jpg 2048w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/VideoCapture_20200424-215118-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>The batter need to be prepared as a thin consistency for this recipe. So you can add the water accordingly. Normally 3 to 4 cups of water is enough. Mix well without any lumps. Instead of water, you can also add butter milk or 3 to 4 tbsp of yoghurt and mix with water. </p>

<p><strong>Cheesy Tomato Pasta Indian Style</strong> recipe is very easy to make and can be prepared in just 15 to 20 minutes. While the pasta is cooking, you can prepare the sauce side by side and it makes your job more easy.</p>
<p>As my kids started asking for different pastas, I am trying different pasta recipes now a days and you can see more and more pasta recipes in coming days.</p>
<p>This cheesy tomato pasta india style recipe you can make in both spicy version and non spicy version just by reducing the number of chillies and adding cream or milk to the pasta. Avoid milk and increase chillies to make a spicier version.</p>
<p>Here I made the non spicier version as my kids can&#8217;t eat the very spicy one. I took the recipe from <a href="https://www.yummytummyaarthi.com/2013/07/pasta-cooked-in-spicy-cheesy-tomato.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">here</a>. Do try out the other pasta recipes like below</p>

<h6>Notes</h6>
<p>1. If you don&#8217;t get pasta cheese, you can use normal cheese too.</p>
<p>2. I love oregano flavour, so I have added them separately also. You can just add mixed herbs alone, as it also contains oregano.</p>
<p>3. Try to add cream, as it gives silky creamy texture for the pasta. As I don&#8217;t have cream that time, I added milk instead. If adding milk, try to add full cream milk.</p>
<p>4. Do not reduce the cheese quantity, as it give great taste to this pasta recipe. If you want, you can.add more also.</p>
<p>5. Try to eat this pasta when it is hot, as it tastes great when taken hot.</p>

<p><b><i><span style="color: #990000;">Potato Corn Toast Recipe </span></i></b>&#8211; This is the latest addition to the bread toast recipes. After I started doing many bread recipes I started trying out different varieties in the toast and this one actually I bookmarked long before from <a href="http://cookclickndevour.com/creamy-corn-toast-recipe-corn-potato-open-toast-recipe" target="_blank" rel="noopener">here</a>.</p>
<p>It is simple yet tasty and me and my mom loved it to the core as we both are potato and corn fans. Also this would become a great evening snack when kids come home tired and give this kind of hot hot bread toast to them with their favorite side side, then they will really love it. Now let&#8217;s go to <b><i><span style="color: #990000;">Potato Corn Recipe</span></i></b> immediately.</p>

</div>
<div></div>
<h2><b>Method to prepare <i><span style="color: #990000;">Potato Corn Toast</span></i></b></h2>
<div></div>
<div>
<p>1. Pressure cook the potatoes and corn. While cooking corn, add a pinch of salt. Smash the potato nicely adding little water and add the corn, pepper powder, coriander leaves and salt.</p>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7779/27002846905_45443b3ed7_d.jpg"><img decoding="async" title="Potato Corn Toast" src="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7779/27002846905_45443b3ed7_d.jpg" alt="Potato Corn Toast" border="0" /></a></div>
<p>2. Mix them nicely so that when you apply them to bread, it spreads easily. Sprinkle some oil or butter to the spread.</p>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7206/26934328981_ece4fc6695_d.jpg"><img decoding="async" title="Potato Corn Toast" src="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7206/26934328981_ece4fc6695_d.jpg" alt="Potato Corn Toast" border="0" /></a></div>
<p>3. Spread the corn, potato mixture evenly on the bread slices. Keep your oven to 160 deg Celsius and toast till the sides turn to crispy and light brown in colour.</p>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7001/27149495291_e6b8fdce30_d.jpg"><img decoding="async" title="Potato corn toast" src="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7001/27149495291_e6b8fdce30_d.jpg" alt="Potato corn toast" border="0" /></a></div>
<p>4. Take out from the oven and serve them hot with chilli sauce or tomato sauce.</p>
</div>
<div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" href="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7016/27112500185_89d255d851_z_d.jpg"><img decoding="async" title="Potato Corn Toast" src="https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7016/27112500185_89d255d851_z_d.jpg" alt="Potato Corn Toast" border="0" /></a></div>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">Yummy and crispy <b><i><span style="color: #990000;">Potato Corn Toast</span></i></b> is ready to munch on&#8230;.</div>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</div>
<div>Notes:</div>
<div>1. The potato should be gooey while applying on then read.</div>
<div>2. If planning to give to kids reduce the pepper and you can add some cheese too. But do not add more cheese as it many alter the taste. Add around  2 tsp of grated cheese.</div>
<div>3. If you like the spicier version you can add the green chillies too.<br />
4. Instead of the coriander leaves, you can also add Italian herbs to give a unique taste. I took the basic recipe from <a href="http://www.padhuskitchen.com/2015/06/bread-rava-toast-recipe-bread-sooji.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Padhu</a> and altered a bit for my taste and it came out good.
