<p><strong>Mango Yoghurt popsicle</strong> is such a tasty popsicle recipe which has a very unique taste with sweet taste of mangoes and little tangy taste of thick yoghurt. </p>

<p><strong>Mango Yoghurt Popsicle recipe</strong> with easy step by step instructions and a video for your easy understanding and learning.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make Mango Yoghurt Popsicle</h2>

<p>This <strong>Mango Yoghurt Popsicle</strong> is such an easy and tasty recipe and my whole family members loved it a lot. </p>

<p>The taste is a combination of both sweet and light tangy taste of the yoghurt. Also for this recipe <strong>greek yoghurt</strong> gives the best result. But we can use the home made curd too.</p>

<p>Also here though can use <strong>sugar or honey or even the palm sugar</strong> as per the sweetness of the mangoes. I have used honey for mangoes and sugar for the yoghurt. </p>

<p>You can also add some <strong>mango essence</strong> if you like. But I have not added any essence here. </p>

<p>This <strong>Mango Yoghurt Popsicle</strong> gives a rich taste as well as looks very colourful, so that kids can easily get attracted. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img decoding="async" width="642" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Mango-Yoghurt-Popsicle-1-642x1024.jpg" alt="Mango Yoghurt Popsicle" class="wp-image-4672" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Mango-Yoghurt-Popsicle-1.jpg 642w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Mango-Yoghurt-Popsicle-1-313x500.jpg 313w" sizes="(max-width: 642px) 100vw, 642px" /></figure></div>

<p>Since we do it at home, this is really a <strong>healthy recipe</strong> than buying the popsicle from outside. If you like you can add a pinch of salt to this.</p>

<p>Add a pinch of salt to this and mix nicely. Adding salt is optional and I have added as I like its taste. Now keep the mango pulp aside amd lets start preparing the yoghurt paste.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234503-500x500.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-4657" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234503-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234503-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234503-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234503.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234503-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Prepare the yoghurt paste</h4>

<p>Take around 6 to 8 tbsp of greek yoghurt or thick home made curd. The yoghurt should be thick as it tends to become more watery when sugar is added. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234535-500x500.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-4663" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234535-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234535-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234535-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234535.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234535-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>To this add sugar and a pinch of salt. You can adjust the sugar as per your taste buds and adding salt is optional.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231043-1024x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-4688" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231043.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231043-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231043-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231043-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231043-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<p>Now beat the yoghurt nicely without any lumps and that sugar dissolves completely. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234558-500x500.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-4666" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234558-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234558-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234558-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234558.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190621_234558-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>The consistency of the yoghurt paste should neither be too thick or too thin.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="1024" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231050-1024x1024.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-4689" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231050.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231050-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231050-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231050-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/20190630_231050-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure></div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">How to make Dahi Bhindi | Dahi Wali Bhindi</h2>

<p>This <strong>Dahi Bhindi | Dahi wali Bhindi | Okra in Yoghurt Gravy</strong> can be made with onion and garlic or with out them as like a saatvic dish. So today I have prepared this as a saatvic dish and have not added garlic, ginger and onion. If you want to add, you can very well add them. </p>

<p>Also we can make this <strong>Dahi Bhindi | Dahi wali Bhindi | Okra in Yoghurt Gravy</strong> as a spicy dish or less spicy dish and alternate as per your family taste buds.</p>

<p>This goes very well with roti, phulka or paratha or even with plain rice or jeera pulao. In simple words we can say it is a North Indian style Vendakkai Mor kuzhambu as it tastes delicious and similar to that of our Mor kuzhambu recipe.</p>

<p>Now let us see the instructions </p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Fry the Okra</h4>

<p>Wash the fresh okara and pat dry them and cut both ends. Cut them in about 2 inch pieces. I have used about 10 to 12 medium size ladies finger.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Prepare the gravy</h4>

<p>In a kadai or wok, add oil and when oil is hot, add the mustard seeds, cumin, fenugreek seeds. </p>

<p>When they splutter, add in the fenugreek leaves and curry leaves. Adding fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) is purely optional, but it gives a very nice taste to this gravy.</p>

<p>Here i have not added onion, garlic and ginger as I prepare this recipe as the no onion no garlic recipe. But if you like to add them, you can very well add them at this stage and saute them for a while or until the raw smell of ginger garlic goes off.</p>

<p>Now add the chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala powders. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-10-500x500.jpg" alt="Dahi bhindi" class="wp-image-4314" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-10-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-10-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-10-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-10.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-10-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>Fry them for 30 sec in low flame</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-11-500x500.jpg" alt="Dahi bhindi" class="wp-image-4313" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-11-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-11-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-11-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-11.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-11-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p> and add in the fried okra now. Again saute them for about 2 min in low to medium flame so then okra is well coated with the spice powders.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-12-500x500.jpg" alt="Dahi bhindi" class="wp-image-4328" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-12-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-12-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-12-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-12.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-12-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>Slowly add the yoghurt gram flour mixture now and stir slowly, keeping the flame low. (Do not keep in medium or high flame, as the yoghurt may tend to curdle)</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-13-500x500.jpg" alt="Dahi bhindi" class="wp-image-4326" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-13-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-13-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-13-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-13.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-13-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>Allow this mixture to cook for about 3 to 4 min only in low flame. </p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-14-500x500.jpg" alt="Dahi bhindi" class="wp-image-4324" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-14-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-14-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-14-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-14.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-14-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>Adjust the salt now if you need. Allow the gravy to to cook and it starts to thicken nicely and switch off the stove.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image"><figure class="aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="500" height="500" src="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-15-500x500.jpg" alt="Dahi bhindi" class="wp-image-4321" srcset="https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-15-500x500.jpg 500w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-15-200x200.jpg 200w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-15-768x768.jpg 768w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-15.jpg 1024w, https://www.akilaskitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Dahi-bhindi-15-100x100.jpg 100w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px" /></figure></div>

<p>Garnish with coriander leaves and serve
hot with roti, phulka or paratha. It tastes great even with plain
rice.

<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 25px;"></span></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;">Also i am tagged by Shoba of &nbsp;<a href="http://www.foodmazza.blogspot.com/">Foodmazza</a>. She has a wonderful blog with lovely recipes. The questions i need to answer are,</div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>1.</b>&nbsp;<b>Are you a vegetarian or have you thought of being one?</b></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;">No. I am non-vegetarian and sometimes thought of eating only veg. just to reduce my weight (i think like that, not sure whether it is true).&nbsp;</div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>2.</b>&nbsp;<b>Who inspired you to cook?</b></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;">In my childhood days, my grandma and mom inspired to cook. But later on, my office colleague inspired me a lot as she prepare very different and tasty recipes. Then, after my marriage, while started searching on net for the recipes, all my fellow bloggers inspired me a lot. So i am now in to the cooking world.</div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>3.</b>&nbsp;<b>How do you celebrate christmas or a favorite festival of your choice?</b></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;">We dont celebrate christmas. We celebrate all the Hindu festivals.</div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>4.&nbsp;</b><strong><span style="background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-origin: initial;">Do you prefer to celebrate New Year&#8217;s Eve with friends and/or family to ring in the New Year quietly and privately at home?</span></strong></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;">It actually depends on the situation. Sometimes, we go out with friends to see the fireworks on the New Year Eve, and the next day some friends/relatives come to our house or we go to their house.</div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"><b>5.</b>&nbsp;<strong><span style="background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-origin: initial;">If some one were to ask you to bring a dessert to a party, what would you bring? store-bought or home-made? If you were to make at home, what would you make?</span></strong></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;">When i am new to cooking, i usually get sweets from store. But now a days, i prepare at home. I try to do, different custard varieties, Rasmalai and icecream.</div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></div>
<div style="clear: both; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></div>

How will you celebrate your next birthday?</span></strong></div>
<div style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none; margin: 0px 0px 0in; padding-bottom: 0in; padding-left: 0in; padding-right: 0in; padding-top: 0in;"><span style="background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-origin: initial;">Mostly we go temple, have lunch at hotel and celebrate. Since i have small kids, i have left to their choice.</span></div>
<div style="border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none; margin: 0px 0px 0in; padding-bottom: 0in; padding-left: 0in; padding-right: 0in; padding-top: 0in;"><span style="background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent; background-origin: initial;"><br /></span></div>
